Summary: Cotton leafroll dwarf virus (CLRDV) in cotton produces a new disease: cotton leafroll dwarf disease (CLRDD). CLRDD was initially reported from Alabama in 2007, and since then, it has been observed in several states across the southern United States, including Mississippi. This presentation provides field-level practitioners with information to aid them in observationally diagnosing plants to determine if they have CLRDD and knowing where to submit samples for laboratory analysis to confirm the presence of the virus.
